Back on the wakeboard for the first time in months.

It's funny how stuff shrinks. In the few short months I've not been wakeboarding, my life vest shrank to the point where doing it up was difficult (I am talking about a neoprene comp-vest here, not a puffy "lifejacket" or anything that might actually save your life when unconscious and face-down).

What's odder is that my bindings seem to have shrunk too. Took ages to get my feet into and then out of them. With that and the pain in the knee, I decided to skate the 2nd set. Felt excellent to be back out there again - although I am horribly unfit.

There was a guy taking pictures today, hawking his wares as a "sports photographer". He was doing freebees - presumably with a view to charging later. Allegedly mine should be available on the internets at some point. Bear in mind that I was riding crap.

Lovely to be out - sunshine etc. A little bit choppy but OK. The chavvy pub is closed for refurbishment at the moment so on a Sunday, it's lovely and quiet down there. We all hope that the plan is to take the place a bit up-market when it reopens.

A side note: the consensus is that is was actually some of the staff from this place that burnt Stew's shed (and equipment). But there's never enough evidence.

Took Small Boy cycling in Richmond Park yesterday for a change of pace. It's nice enough, but too many of the roads have too much traffic and with an unsteady SB, I didn't care for it that much. Need to find somewhere that's got a flat loop of maybe 3-6 miles and ice-cream vending facilities.

Once I have had my knee done, I want to get back into cycling and lose some of this weight. The double-whammy of not smoking and not exercising has not helped.

Running out of time on the MFC. Mind is still a blank - well, not on the music front, I can do the music. There is the option of spending hours going through recordings of speeches and the like looking for samples, but I can't get excited about that.

I think I should keep moving this afternoon, otherwise seizing up is a distinct possibility.
